I started out creating a digital index for a photo archive in dBase III and later moved on to developing a full-fledged photo production system and a photo storage system for major publishers. Nowadays, I guide many implementations of digital asset management systems, knowledge platforms, and brand management portals.

AI-Based Metadata Tagging
To use an image library effectively, metadata is essential for making your photos easy to find. This process is called metadata tagging. It takes time, which is often why it gets neglected. That’s unfortunate — but fortunately, AI can now add a solid initial layer of metadata to your photos.
DAMsupport can use AI to automatically add metadata. Of course, nothing beats manual metadata tagging, but if you have a large collection of photos without any metadata yet, AI is a good — and especially much more affordable — option.

Another consideration is the intended use: for instance, 4K video is beautiful and sharp, but if the content is only used online, it’s often unnecessary.
